Hall Effect Sensor
A Hall Effect sensor is a transducer that varies its output voltage in response to a magnetic field. Handmade module with Hall Effect sensor, which will give you Toggle effect of logic when it Change a magnet field near with it. You can input in to Arduino or any other microcontroller to find the presence of magnet Field. Once you got the practical concept of Hall Effect sensor than can use it in several applications. For an example you need to measure the RPM [Revolutions per minute] of shaft of a motor. Also uses in robotics applications.

Both can use with Arduino as well as other controller where analog input available.
In the above video we get input in to Arduino from sensor and drive a Relay to switch the 230 volts Load when it detects the magnet field.
So you need to count whenever led toggle this means magnet found and it’s give zero logic otherwise its high. With this experiment you can measure RPM of a motor, please arrange a piece of small size of magnet on the wing of motor. So when a rotation complete only that time magnet field will change on the sensor [please make sure distance, sensor between magnet should be less than 1 cm].output LED connected with the sensor as pull-up method means it give light when sensor output is low pulse.
